Crafters and Heritage Based Venders Wanted for Waterford Cultural Festival

We invite you to participate in the Waterford Cultural Festival on Saturday, August 4th, 2012.

The 2012 Waterford Cultural Festival will be a celebration of America’s Irish, Italian and Franco/French-Canadian roots inspired by the Waterford Museum’s exhibit series “Making Waterford Our Home”.

Our free day-long outdoor Festival will feature food, crafts, dance and music, from noon to 9pm at the Harbor’s Visitor Center on the Erie Canal with the popular band “Hair of the Dog” performing from 7pm-9pm. Last year, our first Festival and 10th annual “Concert Under the Stars” attracted an enthusiastic crowd (see picture pic below)

The price for food/commercial vendors is $100 for space from noon to 9pm. For crafts and packaged hand-made food items (mustards, jams, etc - not eaten on-site) the booth fee is $35. To make this a successful day for you as well as for us, we will limit the number of vendors selling similar items.

Blue Star Museum- Free Admission for Military Families

The Waterford Museum is proud to participate with the Blue Star Museums program for the second year in a row. The Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,500 museums across America to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2012. Leadership support has been provided by MetLife Foundation through Blue Star Families.

The Waterford Historical Museum and Cultural Center is proud to announce that the Waterford Cultural Festival will take place on August 4, 2012 at the Waterford harbor, from 12-9pm. This is our 10th annual heritage based festival and this one promises to by the largest yet!

Featuring Free Concert by Hair of the Dog at 7pm. Beer Tasting aboard a Paddle-Wheel Boat 3-10pm “Tug-O-Waterford” -Tug-of-War Competition Wanted- teams of 10, contact museum for more info Ethnic Food, Venders, Cultural Performances, Music and much more! More details to come.

Museum Closed for Educaiton Program Friday and...
